Role & Responsibilities
The Data & Insights practice comprises highly skilled data professionals. You will work with and learn from some of the best in the field. As a Senior Data Engineering Consultant, you will use your technical skills to implement end-to-end reporting, analytics, and data solutions for diverse clients, from large enterprises to startups. You will lead complex projects, take ownership of deliverables, gather requirements, design and build solutions, and provide training. This role offers opportunities to showcase your broad data skills and see the tangible impact of your work.
Responsibilities include:
* Building and implementing technical data solutions using various data tools and platforms
* Consulting with clients on approach and technology selection
* Leading technical projects, requirements gathering, delivery, and documentation
* Writing code and developing solutions
* Managing junior consultants on project deliveries
What is required?
You should be a Technical Data Consultant or Data Engineer with a proven track record of delivering data solutions, preferably in a client-facing consultancy environment. You need strong hands-on skills in data engineering, integration, and migration, with the ability to adapt to different tools and technologies. Excellent stakeholder engagement and management skills are essential, along with experience in leading or contributing significantly to data solution deliveries, project management, and mentoring junior staff. Skills in designing data solutions, coding, and documentation are required, with proficiency in tools such as:
* MS Fabric stack
* Databricks
* Azure SQL
* Tableau / Power BI
Knowledge of data modeling, IT architecture, and systems integration is also necessary. Familiarity with Azure Data Factory, RedShift, Informatica, Qlik, or similar tools is advantageous. Experience with Oracle OBIEE and Oracle Analytics Cloud is desirable. You should be a self-starter with excellent communication and presentation skills.
Rewards
The role offers a competitive salary of £60,000-£80,000 (dependent on experience), an annual bonus of £5,000-£7,000 (paid quarterly), private medical insurance, pension contributions (up to 5%), and other perks such as a mobile phone allowance. This hybrid role provides flexibility for remote work, with weekly visits to the Surrey office and occasional visits to London Bridge.
