Job Title: Geotechnical EngineerSalary: £35,000 - £40,000Location: Derby
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Geotechnical Engineer to join a well-established consultancy based in Derby.
This role offers the chance to work on a broad range of both site and office-based projects, covering schemes of varying scale and complexity. The Role
As a Geotechnical Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
* Designing and overseeing ground investigations
* Carrying out Phase 1 Desk Studies and supporting Phase 2 site investigations
* Producing geotechnical and interpretative reports
* Undertaking geotechnical risk assessments
* Soil and groundwater sampling, monitoring and logging
* Liaising with clients, contractors and internal project teams
You will also work closely with senior engineers and have the opportunity to support and mentor junior team members, contributing to a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.

Requirements
* A degree in Geology, Civil Engineering or a related discipline
* Experience working within a geotechnical or ground investigation consultancy
* Based within a commutable distance of Derby
* Full UK driving licence
