Junior Install Technician
Location: Staplehurst, Kent, with site work throughout the UK and internationally
Contract: Permanent
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
About the Role:
Our Client is seeking a Junior Install Technician to join their growing installation team. This is a unique, hands‑on opportunity to work on specialist installation projects across the UK and worldwide, including Europe, the Americas and Asia. You will be involved in constructing bespoke multi‑layered shielded room systems, primarily within medical facilities, research institutes and universities.
Full training will be provided, and the role offers long‑term development for someone looking to build a technical career within a specialist engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Work as part of an installation team constructing specialist rooms on customer sites.
* Use a range of hand and power tools during the installation process (tools provided).
* Assemble aluminium frameworks, metal panels and plastic cladding to detailed specifications.
* Deliver high‑quality workmanship, finishing to tight tolerances.
* Assist with all stages of the installation sequence.
* Represent company values and professionalism while on customer sites.
* Support general duties at the company headquarters between installations when required.
Essential Requirements:
* Willingness to work away from home for extended periods in the UK and abroad (expenses paid).
* Confident using hand and power tools.
* Strong teamwork and communication skills.
* Full UK driving licence and valid passport.
* Clean DBS history.
* High attention to detail and professional presentation.
* Flexible attitude, including willingness to work unsociable hours.
* Self‑motivated, enthusiastic and reliable.
Desirable Experience:
* Background in plumbing, electrical installation, shop fitting or sheet metal work.
* Experience with construction finishing techniques.
* Engineering or manufacturing knowledge.
* Good understanding of health & safety practices.
