Test Technician - High Voltage Power Supplies
We are seeking a skilled Test Technician to join a well-established advanced manufacturing organisation specialising in high voltage power systems used in cutting-edge technology applications.
This is a hands-on technical role within a manufacturing environment, responsible for ensuring that all power supply units meet rigorous safety, quality, and performance standards before reaching customers.

Key Responsibilities
1. Execute testing of high voltage power supplies to defined specifications
2. Upgrade and modify assemblies and finished products
3. Complete test reports and documentation in line with customer and quality management requirements
4. Provide hands-on manufacturing support including mechanical assembly and component installation
5. Interpret and implement engineering changes in accordance with documentation
6. Identify product quality and performance issues and raise non-conformances where required
7. Liaise with Design Engineering, Test Equipment Design and Sales teams to support customer requirements
8. Support Quality, Environmental, and Health & Safety management systems
9. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including sustainability and "green" improvements
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
10. Experience with high voltage test methods
11. Soldering and rework experience to IPC standards
12. Experience within a lean manufacturing environment
13. Ability to accurately follow test procedures and achieve standard times
14. Competent in the use of test equipment including:
Oscilloscopes
Function generators
Digital power supplies
Multimeters
15. Proficient in Microsoft Office
16. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Working Environment
17. Use of appropriate PPE (e.g., safety shoes, eyewear, gloves)
18. Fine control required for assembly, soldering, and hand tool usage
19. Visual inspection of small components and reading of technical drawings and digital displays
20. Manual handling of materials up to 30kg (with mechanical aids where required)
21. Occasional movement of larger equipment (up to 800kg) using mechanical aids and safe working practices
