Pre-Sales Engineer Job Description: We're building something new - and this is your chance to help launch it. We're creating a disruptive embedded accounting and payroll offering that brings powerful accounting capabilities directly into the platforms small businesses already use every day - from banks and fintechs to SaaS providers. Not another standalone product. Not business as usual. This is about embedding accounting at the heart of the small business ecosystem. As a Technical Solutions Consultant, you'll play a central role in launching and scaling this new venture in the UK. You'll work alongside engineers, architects and product leaders at partner organisations, helping them embed our accounting APIs seamlessly into their platforms - delivering real, tangible value to small business customers. This is a Hybrid position with three days per week based I our Newcastle office. Key Responsibilities: What You'll Do This isn't a support role. It's a build-from-zero role. You will: - Lead technical discovery sessions with prospective partners - Conduct deep technical evaluations and architectural discussions - Co-design API-led accounting solutions alongside partner engineering teams - Guide partners from proof of concept through to successful deployment - Act as the bridge between business development, product and engineering - Surface meaningful partner feedback to refine product-market fit You'll help turn early-stage conversations into fully launched embedded partnerships - shaping both the customer experience and our product evolution. Success will be measured by: - Proofs of concept delivered - Successful API deployments - Strategic feedback that sharpens our product-market fit What You Bring Must-Haves - Experience as a Business Analyst, Solution Designer, Technical Architect or Product Manager within technology-based services - Strong experience building, delivering or implementing API-based services - Ability to present systems architecture and APIs to both technical and non-technical audiences - Confidence supporting business development colleagues in complex technical sales cycles - Experience working with - or deep interest in - accounting software and the business management needs of small businesses Nice-to-Haves - Experience within a bank, fintech, SaaS business or consulting firm - Additional European language skills Who Thrives Here - You're self-directed and comfortable with ambiguity - You enjoy building new propositions, not just maintaining existing ones - You're naturally curious and commercially aware - You listen carefully, think critically and communicate clearly - You're motivated by impact - not just process Why Join?
