Midlands but Hybrid role
£40,000 - £60,000 basic
No vehicle (mileage), 22 days plus banks, pension, progression
Job Role:
* Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for electrical projects
* Analyse project requirements, drawings, and specifications
* Work closely with clients, design engineers, operations, and commercial teams
* Support the delivery of profitable and compliant bids
* Ensure estimates align with industry standards and project scopes
Experience & Qualifications
* The successful candidate will have substantial experience estimating electrical schemes up to 11kV (experience up to 33kV is advantageous) and ideally possess:
* Level 3 qualification in Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience
* Strong knowledge of electrical industry standards, including ENA and G81
* Understanding of civil industry standards, including NJUG, traffic management, and permits
* Familiarity with Distribution Network Operators (DNOs/IDNOs) and Independent Connection Providers (ICPs)
* Knowledge of EV (Electric Vehicle) infrastructure and renewable energy systems
* Experience using Windebut or ConnectGrid (highly desirable)

* Excellent numerical, analytical, and communication skills
* Strong ability to interpret customer requirements and technical specifications
* Collaborative approach when working with IDNOs and design engineers
* High attention to detail and accuracy
