About the school
Prosper Together Multi Academy Trust is a large four-form entry junior school. Each year group works as a team with a year leader who provides support for both curriculum and pastoral issues. The school focuses on raising standards academically and in children’s personal development. Initiatives to develop parent partnerships led by our deputy headteacher and assistant head are having an impact on school improvement. We are a member of the Prosper Together MAT and work together to promote school improvement and provide a range of extended services for pupils. The school maintains its individual identity and control.
Responsibilities
* Lead the school’s Special Education Needs provision as SENCO and Inclusion Manager; lead inclusion and intervention teams to support pupils with special needs, underachievement and vulnerable learners.
* Provide a range of support to class teachers in meeting individual needs and implementing inclusive practices.
* Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team including a child and family worker, a learning support manager, a mentor/nurture assistant, a behaviour lead and an intervention assistant.
* Support and monitor pupil progress, design and oversee interventions, and contribute to CPD for staff.
* Develop and sustain parent partnerships to support pupil progress and school improvement.
* Work with school leadership to raise standards academically and in students’ personal development.
* Support the school in providing extended services and opportunities for pupils through partnerships with the MAT and other services.
* Contribute to safeguarding, inclusion, and wellbeing strategies across the school.
