Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced medical secretary to provide administrative support to the medical team at Potters Bar Clinic. The role involves managing diaries, planning meetings, updating records, and liaising with external agencies. This is a 37.5‑hour per week full‑time permanent position.
Responsibilities
* Support registered clinicians with confidential paperwork, GP letters, and service user records.
* Maintain and update diary entries for clinicians and arrange chairing meetings.
* Record and accurately type minutes of meetings and conference calls.
* Lead in the recording of blood test results and other clinical documentation.
* Participate in developing and evaluating regulatory matters.
* Coordinate hospital diary and organise travel/attendance arrangements.
* Assist with any other administrative tasks as required.
Qualifications
* Minimum of 4 GCSEs / equivalent.
* Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office and audio typing.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Knowledge of mental health terminology and medications.
* Experience handling confidential information.

Location
190 Barnet Road, Potters Bar, Hertfordshire, EN6 2SE. The clinic comprises two acute mental health wards for adult men and women and two CAMHS Tier 4 low secure wards for young people aged 13‑18.
