Ideally, you will be an experienced Deputy Manager or Senior Residential Support Worker who works in an environment and culture where children are respected, listened to, and involved in as many decisions as possible. As the Deputy Manager, you will support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home and contribute to the continued development of a team of Residential Child Care Workers who help and support our children, who have experienced Adverse Childhood Experiences and trauma, utilising our trauma-informed practices that are embedded within our culture. Our young people may have had many adults come in and out of their lives, often adding to their trauma. Therefore, we are looking for a committed and dedicated Deputy Manager. You’ll be a natural at building rapport with children and someone full of empathy, allowing you to understand and relate to the young people you work with. You will need to have at least 2 years’ experience as a Deputy Manager working in a children’s residential setting, hold a level 5 qualification in leadership and management, or be prepared to work towards it. A minimum of a Level 3 diploma for Residential Child Care, have a proven track record with Ofsted, and the Legislative Framework Due to the location of the Home, a Driving Licence is Essential Our Team at Pennine View Pennine View is situated in a residential area close to the city centre. We are on the main line for the train station and are commutable from Blackburn, Manchester, and Leeds. It looks like any other spacious, well-maintained family home. There is a big, lawned garden and a large living room, allowing the children (and us adults!) to play, have fun, and socialise all year round.
