We're now looking for a dynamic Director of Training & Compliance to help shape the next chapter of our growth. In this pivotal role, you'll lead our training and compliance strategy across the A&T sector, ensuring our people have the skills, confidence and regulatory assurance to deliver exceptional service every day. A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE
Lead and develop the Training, Compliance and Resourcing functions across all A&T sites, ensuring robust systems, best‑in‑class training delivery, and the capability to support operational growth.
Own all CAA and DfT regulatory compliance, including oversight of security passes, audit readiness, non‑conformance resolution, and the consistent application of legislation across the sector.
Design and implement a sector‑wide training strategy, ensuring every site has the right skills, qualifications and onboarding support to meet operational and customer requirements.
Manage strategic partner and agency relationships, ensuring resource levels, compliance, and service quality meet forecasted demand and operational peaks.
Drive performance and continuous improvement by leading the wider training and compliance teams, monitoring KPIs, actioning audit findings, and embedding best practice across operations.
Engage with senior operational leadership—including VP Ops, Ops Directors and GMs—to review performance, ensure service alignment, and identify value‑adding opportunities across sites.
Provide strong people leadership, developing talent, managing performance, and building a culture centred on safety, compliance, customer focus and operational excellence.

Extensive aviation and ground‑handling experience, with a strong understanding of regulatory compliance in aviation and travel environments, including security‑sensitive and safety‑critical operations.
Exceptional leadership credentials, with experience managing large, multi‑site teams and creating a high‑performance, people‑centred culture built on accountability, engagement and continuous improvement.
Strong commercial and growth‑focused mindset, with experience contributing to new business, presenting to senior stakeholders, influencing decision‑makers, and shaping propositions that commercialise and enhance the training and compliance offer.
Proven ambassadorial capability, representing the organisation with professionalism and credibility while building trusted relationships with customers, regulators, and strategic partners.
Innovative and forward‑thinking approach, with a passion for enabling new technologies, enhanced training solutions and operational autonomy, ideally including exposure to initiatives such as autonomous vehicle trials or digital training tools.
A flexible, collaborative and mobile working style, able to travel across sites to provide visible leadership, maintain stakeholder engagement, and support delivery in a fast‑paced, matrix environment.
