Do you hold a degree in Statistics or Mathematics with Statistics, along with advanced Excel skills? If so, we would love to hear from you. We are looking for a Statistician to join the Regulatory Interface team.
About The Role
Reporting to the Head of Regulatory Interface, you’ll collaborate with a team of statisticians to manage and enhance Royal Mail’s independent Quality of Service (QoS) surveys, while ensuring compliance with regulatory QoS and Mail Integrity standards.
You will also:
* Lead monthly data quality checks and reporting for Ofcom and internal stakeholders.
* Ensure compliance with regulatory and European standards.
* Manage survey contractors and resolve data issues.
* Explore new technologies (e.g., tracking devices) to enhance measurement accuracy.
* Automate data validation and analysis processes.
* Provide insights and recommendations through deep-dive statistical analysis.
* Support audit risk assessments and propose contractor solutions.
About you:
To truly excel in this role, you will possess, and be able to evidence, the skills and experience listed:
* A degree in Statistics or Mathematics with a strong statistical focus.
* Proven experience designing and analysing large-scale surveys and complex datasets.
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) is a strong advantage.
* Exceptional analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to communicate insights clearly and engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
* Familiarity with Royal Mail’s operational processes or regulatory environment is desirable.
