Role
Purpose
1. Comply with Ealing Council' Code of Conduct, Equality & Diversity Policy and Health & Safety Policy
2. Provide customers with a knowledgeable and professional first point of contact on the telephone, in writing and in person for Neighbourhood Housing teams.
3. Provide support to residents across a range of tenures throughout the lifetime of their tenancies.
4. Work in a performance-managed culture, to be responsible and accountable for delivering an excellent customer focused service and meeting service objectives
5. General office support as directed by the Neighbourhood Team Leaders.
6. Work as part of a team to deliver excellence, solve problems and deliver value for residents.
Duties
7. Be the first point of contact for housing services on reception, receiving enquiries from customers in person, by telephone, by letter and electronically
8. Develop and maintain a good working knowledge of housing services and procedures and ensure procedures are followed
9. Provide a strong customer focused service and deliver housing services to a diverse community
10. Deal with difficult situations in a way that tries to resolve issues for the customer
11. To manage office administrative work, including the Document Management system
12. Process key returns and liaise with the Voids Team
13. Monitor property rent accounts, send letters, making agreements to pay and update records
An ideal candidate
14. Able to deal with difficult situations in a way that tries to resolve issues for the customer, seeking assistance from the Leader when necessary
15. Able to take personal responsibility for delivering the front line services within set timescales, for improving own performance and customer services
16. Able to manage and maintain records, files and other documentation accurately
17. Ability to deal with customer enquiries and requests on the telephone and face to face in a friendly and helpful way.
18. Able to deal with customer enquiries and requests face to face, by telephone, by letter and electronically, and provide information and advice on housing services aiming to resolve problems immediately where possible
