Description
Key responsibilities for the Interim Procurement Manager:
Developing procurement policies, processes, and governance appropriate for a college environment
Building a central view of contracts and supplier arrangements
Providing expert advice and support to teams across the college
Leading sourcing exercises, tendering activity, and negotiations
Ensuring compliance with the Procurement Act 2023 and relevant sector regulations
Supporting value-for-money decisions and effective supplier management
Creating positive relationships with stakeholders and promoting good procurement practice
Profile
A successful Interim Procurement Manager should have:
Experience in procurement within the public sector, education, or a regulated setting
Strong knowledge of public procurement rules and processes
The ability to introduce new approaches in a clear, engaging, and practical way
Excellent communication skills and the confidence to influence and advise stakeholders
Strong analytical and commercial awareness
(Desirable) A CIPS qualification or working towards one
Job Offer
Competitive daily rate between £450 and £600, depending on experience.
Hybrid working pattern - 2/3 days on-site.
