Key Responsibilities / The Role
* Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs (e.g., fixing locks, doors, shelves, and office furniture).
* Carry out basic electrical, plumbing, and carpentry tasks where required.
* Assemble, install, and move office furniture and equipment.
* Handle small decoration tasks such as painting, touch-ups, and patching walls.
* Conduct regular checks to identify maintenance needs and address them promptly.
* Monitor and report any major repair requirements, coordinating with external contractors when needed.
* Ensure office facilities, tools, and equipment are well-maintained and safe to use.
* Assist with office relocations, event setups, and general support tasks.
* Respond quickly to repair requests from staff and management.
* Maintain outdoor areas immediately surrounding the office
Requirements
* Proven experience as a handyman, maintenance worker, or in a similar role.
* Good practical knowledge of general repairs (basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting).
* Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and manage time effectively.
* Problem-solving mindset with strong attention to detail.
* Good communication and teamwork skills.
* Physically fit and able to carry out manual tasks (lifting, moving, climbing ladders, etc.).
* A valid driver's license as travel between offices will be required. This includes Basildon, Wickford, Rayleigh and Frinton.
