Tasks may include: Implementing existing page designs and layouts within Wix. Formatting and uploading text, imagery, and graphics. Ensuring site responsiveness and optimisation for both desktop and mobile. Assisting with small design refinements and visual consistency across pages. Collaborating with graphic designers, writers, and marketers to ensure the site communicates the brand effectively. This is a practical, creative opportunity to be part of a real digital launch, working across disciplines and learning how to execute a cohesive online publication from start to finish. What You Will Gain This placement offers direct, hands-on experience in digital publishing, creative web design, and cross-functional teamwork. You will develop technical and collaborative skills while creating a live portfolio project that demonstrates your ability to build and implement a professional website. Upon completion, you’ll receive a letter of recommendation, professional feedback, and continued references from the Collective Thread team. Who We Are Looking For We welcome applications from students, graduates, or emerging creatives with an interest in web design, digital media, or creative technology. Prior experience with Wix or other platforms such as Webflow, Squarespace, or WordPress is ideal but not required. You should have an eye for design, a detail-oriented approach, and a willingness to learn and collaborate. Important Information This is a voluntary and unpaid placement and does not constitute a contract of employment. Hours are fully flexible, workload is set by you, and all contributions are made remotely.
