A medical tuition provision in Weston- super -Mare working with Teaching Personnel are looking a Maths Teacher who’s highly committed in helping young people, many of whom have faced significant challenges due to health reasons such as chronic fatigue syndrome, anxiety (including EBSA) or even recovering from serious illness to achieve more than they might believe is possible. The timetables are very personalised and students are referred by their mainstream school with a letter of support from a senior health professional. The students are dual registered with their mainstream school and the expectation is that we are not a long-term placement. The classroom sizes are no bigger than 3 students with the support of TA’s in the classroom. This role does not initial any personal care The ideal candidate A Fully Qualified Teacher Be enthusiastic and able to engage children in their learning. The aim is to get the children back into mainstream education when they’re well enough. Be confident, proactive and understanding working with children with medical conditions Comfortable teaching Maths to KS3 and KS4 students Information about the role: Part-Time: Tuesday - Friday, term time only 8:45 – 3:45 Classroom size: 3 pupils, creating strong relationships with the students with lots of classroom support of TA’s.
