Clinical Lead – Major Trauma and Orthopaedics
Band 8a – 1 Permanent Post (30 hours)
Salary: £62,681-67665
An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Lead post in Major Trauma and Orthopaedic Inpatient Therapy. The postholder will provide clinical leadership to support the Scottish Trauma Networks 4 pillars of practice and work clinically within the Major Trauma service. The post holder will also lead the Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy teams working in Trauma and Orthopaedic inpatient service in Ninewells.
This post is based primarily in Ninewells hospital, Dundee, but with the potential for community outreach work across NHS Tayside.
Responsibilities
* Provide strategic and clinical leadership across Major Trauma and Orthopaedic inpatient services.
* Support service development and transformation aligned with national and local priorities.
* Collaborate with colleagues across acute and community settings to ensure seamless, person-centred care.
* Lead quality improvement initiatives and contribute to workforce development.
* Be a key member of the senior leadership teams.
What are we looking for?
* An HCPC registered Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist with relevant clinical and leadership experience.
* Proven leadership skills and experience in service development.
* Strong understanding of major trauma and Orthopaedic pathways.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Commitment to equity, inclusion, and person-centred care.
