Design & Technology Teacher – Chesterfield (Full Time)
The Supply Register is working in partnership with a forward-thinking secondary school in Chesterfield to recruit a Full-Time Design & Technology Teacher, starting ASAP with potential to continue after September 2026.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate DT specialist who wants to inspire creativity, innovation, and practical learning across Key Stage 3 and 4.
The role includes:
• Planning and delivering engaging DT lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
• Developing students’ practical, design, and problem-solving skills
• Assessing, tracking, and supporting student progress
• Maintaining a safe and well-organised workshop environment
• Contributing to curriculum development and enrichment activities
• Working collaboratively within a supportive DT department
We’re looking for candidates who:
• Hold QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
• Have experience teaching Design & Technology in secondary schools
• Have strong subject knowledge (e.g. product design, engineering, resistant materials or similar)
• Are passionate about practical learning and student achievement
• Demonstrate strong behaviour and classroom management
• Work effectively as part of a team
