West Coventry Academy is seeking an Academic Nurture Lead to support student transition from primary to secondary and from secondary to Post-16. The role focuses on removing barriers to learning and ensuring all students – particularly the most vulnerable – are supported to succeed academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities
* Build strong, positive relationships with students and act as a role model.
* Deliver targeted interventions and support personalised learning, behaviour and wellbeing plans.
* Lead and support transition across KS2–KS3 and KS4–KS5.
* Identify and support vulnerable or disengaged students.
* Monitor attendance, progress and destinations, taking action where needed.
* Work closely with parents, staff and external agencies (including CAMHS) to improve outcomes.
* Support behaviour management and respond effectively to incidents.
* Contribute to transition events, open evenings and enrichment activities.
