Astute's Power Team is partnered with a market-leading Energy company to recruit a Multi-skilled (electrically biased) Field Service Technician for several Combined Heat and Power (CHP) sites across Merseyside. The role offers a salary of £44,000 - £48,000 (DoE), overtime, a company van, and excellent benefits. Responsibilities and Duties
* Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, responsible for fault diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of CHP and utility plants (Gas Engines, Boilers, etc.).
* Performing routine operational tasks to ensure compliance with legislation and company procedures.
* Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities.
* Maintaining and publishing plant quality records and reports.
* Issuing Permits to Work following company authorization levels.
* Compiling reports on incidents and accidents in accordance with company policies.
Professional Qualifications
* NVQ Level 3 in a relevant engineering discipline such as Electrical, Control and Instrumentation, etc.
* 18th Edition wiring regulations (beneficial).
* High Voltage (HV) experience (highly beneficial).
* A full UK driving license is essential.
Personal Skills, Experience, and Knowledge
* Hands-on maintenance experience with large diesel engines (Jenbacher, Deutz, MAN, MTU, Perkins, etc.).
* Good knowledge of three-phase electrical systems.
* Understanding of combustion control maintenance and SCADA plant management systems.
* Knowledge of air and ground source heat pumps.
* Royal/Merchant Navy Marine Engineers are encouraged to apply.
