3 Month Contract With A Local Authority
Role Overview
This position offers the opportunity to work remotely while contributing to a varied caseload of planning and development matters. The successful candidate will provide high-quality legal advice on planning law issues and support decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide legal advice on all aspects of planning and environmental law
* Draft and review planning agreements (including Section 106 agreements)
* Advise on planning applications, appeals, and enforcement matters
* Support officers and stakeholders with legal input on planning policy and decisions
* Attend Planning Committee meetings where required (desirable, not essential)
* Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulatory frameworks
Requirements
* Qualified solicitor, barrister, or legal executive in England & Wales
* Demonstrable experience in planning law (local authority experience desirable)
* Strong knowledge of UK planning legislation and procedures
* Ability to manage workload independently in a remote environment
* Excellent communication and drafting skills
