Job Description: The Seaglaze Group are now recruiting Glass Operatives. No experience is necessary; just a willingness to learn, be flexible and have a great work ethic. Duties include; handling and processing glass which includes cutting, polishing and manufacturing of double glazed and laminated units as well as learning other skills such as how to safely use machinery for the CNC, drilling, grinding and working on assembly and so a willingness to learn new things is essential.
About Us: Based in Rackheath near Norwich, the Seaglaze Group are a family-owned company that has been established for half a century. We employ over 70 staff across our 2 factories, manufacturing high quality, bespoke products ranging from specialised glass to products for the boat building industry.
Hours: Basic hours are 40 per week Monday to Friday with up to 10 hours overtime as needed. This position will involve working shifts between 06:00 – 20:00 with some Saturday working where customer demands are high.
Qualifications / experience:
* Basic understanding of quality control principles.
* Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a team.
* You should also be good with IT technology as we have our own bespoke software.
* Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
* Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy objects when necessary.
* Commitment to health and safety and maintaining a clean work environment.
