We are looking for Digital Healthcare ACPs who can commit to a minimum of 16 hours per week to provide virtual consultations via our platform, delivering high quality care to our patients. As an ACP, you will confidently assess, diagnose, and treat patients on our digital platform. You will work within your scope of professional practice at all times being responsible and accountable for your decisions and actions in line with organisational policy. This includes active judgements when to seek support from senior colleagues.
The responsibilities below reflect the four pillars of advanced practice and ACPs are expected to work against these standards.
Salaried Sessions
We offer fixed shifts and sessions (minimum of 16 hours a week) that can be divided throughout the week based on your preferred hours, along with optional additional ad-hoc shifts.
* Weekday Daytime (8am-6pm)
* Weekday Evening (6pm-10pm)
* Weekend / Bank Holiday
Remuneration
* Salary based on 40 hours weekday/daytime FTE: From £60,169.30
* Weekday Daytime: £6,016.93
* Weekday Evening: £6,618.63
* Weekends/ Bank Holiday: £7,281.51
* Hour rate: Weekday daytime £28.93
* Hour rate: Weekday evening £31.82
* Hour rate: Weekend / bank holiday £35.01

Requirements
Training / Qualifications
* Relevant registration with a professional body (NMC, HCPC, GPhC)
* Postgraduate diploma (Level 7) or Masters degree in Advanced Clinical Practice or either RCN Credentialling or HEE accreditation
* Valid IR(ME)R certificate valid within the last 3 years
* The Fit Note (FIT) training certificate
* Independent prescribing qualification
* Minor illness training qualification (Desirable)
Experience
* Minimum 2 years experience as ACP independently prescribing (post ACP qualification) in Primary Care Setting/general practice within the last 5 years
* Broad autonomous scope of practice developed in a general practice setting as per the Core Capabilities for Advanced Clinical Practice framework

Knowledge And Skills
* Up-to-date knowledge of national prescribing policies and guidelines, and an understanding of working within the scope of professional practice.
* Knowledge of clinical governance principles as applied to remote working and digital healthcare (Desirable)
* Proficiency with clinical IT systems (ideally with Jira and Teams/Slack)
* Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage deadlines
* Commitment to patient-centred care and ongoing professional development
* Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to proficiently document patient consultations according to organizational policy and national guidelines
* Ability to recognize individual learning needs and actively seek professional development opportunities in line with local and national frameworks (e.g., NMC revalidation requirements)
* Ability to act as a professional role model, demonstrating organizational values and behaviours
* Skill in sharing knowledge and evidence-based insights to support team development and quality care (Desirable)
* Ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders (Desirable)
* A patient-centred approach ensuring high levels of patient satisfaction and clinical care
Clinical Responsibilities
* Assess, diagnose, and treat: Conduct comprehensive remote patient assessments, establish accurate diagnoses, and develop appropriate treatment plans remotely
* Communicate effectively: Build rapport with patients through effective communication, demonstrating emotional intelligence and promoting a positive patient experience
* Prescribe responsibly: Adhere to the Royal Pharmaceutical Society's A Competency Framework for all Prescribers
* Maintain professional standards: Adhere to the NMC/HCPC code of conduct and practice responsibly within scope
* Understand limits, manage risk: Critically evaluate own competence and scope of practice, recognizing when complexity and uncertainty require escalation to senior colleagues
* Maintain thorough documentation: Ensure accurate and timely recording of all consultations within patient health records
Education and Leadership Responsibilities
* Engage in ongoing learning: Participate in training, professional development, clinical meetings, and clinical supervision to enhance expertise
* Facilitate peer development: Contribute to the creation and/or delivery of learning activities for colleagues
* Prioritize effective workload management: Demonstrate strong time-management skills to balance clinical duties
* Be a positive role-model: Champion best practices and uphold the organization's professional image
* Meet professional standards: Fulfil NMC/HCPC revalidation requirements for continued practice
Research/Clinical Governance Responsibilities
* Support quality improvement: Actively participate, when required, in quality assurance initiatives and service development
* Learn from feedback and incidents: Utilize reporting systems and feedback mechanisms to drive continuous improvement
* Utilize research for improvement: Critically evaluate research, audit, and evaluation findings to inform your own practice and guide others
* Participate in appraisals: Engage in regular reviews and performance appraisals as required by DCA
Safeguarding
* To promote a culture of patient-centered and good professional practice relating to the safeguarding of adults, young persons and children at risk
* To actively implement safeguarding protocols for children, young persons, and vulnerable adults and to know who to refer to and how to escalate concerns about radicalisation
* To ensure that provisions in relation to all Mental Health Legislation including the Mental Health Act 2007, Mental Capacity Act 2005, are implemented in accordance with the legislative requirements, Codes of Practice requirements and National and Government Guidance
