Brook Street (UK) Ltd is recruiting a Senior Clerical Officer for our leading Public Sector client, Education Authority Northern Ireland, Dundonald Office.
As a Senior Clerical Officer in the Transport Administration Department, you will provide advice and assistance to Education Authority officers, customers, the public, and other professionals as directed by the Programme Manager.
You will provide administrative support for the daily functions and operations of staff.
You should be proficient in MS Office packages such as Excel, Outlook, and Word. Confidence in using spreadsheets and databases, along with typing and word-processing duties, is essential.
* Have the equivalent of five GCSEs at grade C or above and at least one year of administrative experience in an office environment.
* Possess good customer service skills, along with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Be a good relationship builder with the ability to work on your own initiative.
Job Responsibilities:
* Provide administrative support related to all aspects of the programme, utilizing the full range of IT equipment including word processing, databases, spreadsheets, email, fax, intranet, and internet facilities.
* Answer telephone calls and queries from customers and clients, accurately recording conversations and escalating issues to the appropriate department when necessary.
* Assist in collating factual data and statistical information from various sources to support the work of designated officers.
* Prepare letters, minutes, notes, and other clerical support as directed by the programme manager.
* Use initiative, tact, and diplomacy in responding to queries and issues that arise within the section, especially in the absence of the programme manager.
* Order and monitor supplies of stationery and office requisitions for all staff within the section, along with managing diaries for stakeholders.
* Maintain efficient recording and filing systems as directed by the programme manager.
* Delegate tasks to the office team in the absence of senior management.

The pay rate is £14.53 per hour, with a 36-hour workweek, Monday to Friday.
