Staffordshire County Council
Our Social Workers make a huge difference to the lives of people across our county, and we remain passionate about investing in retaining our own and developing practice. This is an exciting opportunity that offers just that.
If you are looking for more responsibility, a supportive role with your colleagues whilst continuing to support and safeguard some of our most vulnerable and high‑risk children and young people, then this could be just for you.
We are ambitious in our learning and development programme with strong links within the West Midlands and our teaching partnership.
You will be based in the beautiful and scenic Staffordshire Moorlands, and in one of two Assessment and Staying Together Teams based there.
We are a small but supportive and welcoming team who share excellent relationships with district colleagues in Early Help, SEND, Education, Children with Disabilities and are co‑located with our Children in Care and Care Leavers Team. We embed a restorative model and are committed to ensuring that every child is supported through a whole district approach.
You will be working with families across the continuum of need from Child In Need through to the conclusion of Care Proceedings and Adoption planning.
But above all, you will bring the desire to work with children and families to give them the right support, at the right time with the aim of keeping families together where it is safe to do so.
