Duties of a Registered Manager:
6. Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the home in line with Ofsted regulations
7. Ensure high standards of care, safety, and well-being for all children
8. Oversee staff recruitment, training, supervision, and development
9. Maintain compliance with safeguarding, health & safety, and legislative requirements
10. Develop and implement care plans tailored to each young person’s needs
11. Monitor performance through audits, reviews, and inspections
12. Build effective relationships with external professionals, families, and stakeholders
13. Manage budgets, resources, and ensure the home operates efficiently
14. Lead on crisis management, complaints, and serious incidents
15. Promote a positive, child-focused culture that supports outcomes and independence.
As a Residential Manager you will need to possess the following skills and attributes:
16. Recent experience working within the residential sector at a Registered Manager level within a Children Residential Service
17. A “Good” or “Outstanding” grade within your recent OFSTED Inspections
18. Exceptional management & leadership skills and a passion for providing high-quality care
19. Diploma Level 3 or 4 in Residential Child Care (Children and Young Peoples Workforce) – or equivalent
20. Diploma Level 5 Leadership and Management – or equivalent
