Job overview

The post holder will work with the Head of Clinical Governance and Deputy CMO, alongside the Clinical Governance Patient Safety Team Manager, Clinical Governance & Risk Practitioners, Quality Improvement Team, and others to drive the Patient Safety Incident Response Framework (PSIRF), ensuring it is embedded across the Trust and evolves in response to changing needs.


Main duties of the job

The PSIRF Learning Manager will facilitate and support the identification and oversight of patient safety risks, and subsequent improvement work through the PSIRF governance structures. The role will develop, implement, and monitor a programme of work in conjunction with the organisational approach to quality improvement.


Person specification


Qualifications/Education

* Educated to, or working towards, a Masters level (in a relevant discipline) or equivalent experience at a senior level.
* Quality Improvement qualification experience.


Knowledge/Experience

* In-depth knowledge in applying Human Factors tools in healthcare.
* Experience in a patient safety-related role.


Skills/Capabilities/Attributes

* Ability to interpret complex information.
* Effective communication with clinical and academic staff.
