Electrical, Data AV/IT and Fire & Security Contractors seek a Financial Manager for their Hertford office.
The Finance Manager has overall responsibility for the internal bookkeeping for all four of the group of companies.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Overall responsibility for the internal bookkeeping for all four of the group of companies.
2. Reconciliation of all ledgers, entering journals.
3. Preparation of management accounts monthly for the group, including consolidation.
4. Project accounting and inter-relationship with the management accounts, knowledge of the construction or electrical main contractor industry is a must.
5. Assisting the Director with cashflow management.
6. Assisting the Director with the bank relationship, finance agreements, relationship with external agencies regarding accounts and finance matters.
7. Preparation of working papers for and working with external accountants and auditors.
8. Liasing with the Purchase Ledger department.
9. Advising on accounting systems and set up, maintenance thereon.
10. Revenue and costs recognition - a good working knowledge of the relevant accounting standards and application thereon.
11. Correspondence with HMRC.
12. Preparation & submission of VAT returns, knowledge of Domestic Reverse Charge.
