Accounts Administrator

Are you an experienced Accounts professional looking for your next career move? We’re delighted to be working with our client — a well-established and growing business that supplies and maintains commercial catering and laundry equipment for a wide range of public and private sector clients across the catering, hospitality, and laundry industries.

Due to continued success and business expansion, they’re now seeking a talented, full-time Accounts Administrator to join their friendly and dedicated team based in Cullybackey, Ballymena.

The Role

As an Accounts Administrator, you’ll play an integral part in the day-to-day running of the company’s financial operations. This is a busy and varied role, ideal for someone who enjoys taking ownership, thrives on accuracy, and loves working as part of a close-knit team.

Key Responsibilities

1. Maintain Sales and Purchase Ledgers
2. Carry out bank reconciliations and reconcile customer and supplier payments
3. Raise invoices and produce customer statements
4. Handle customer and supplier queries with professionalism and efficiency
5. Prepare and submit VAT returns
6. Produce financial reports to support analysis and decision-making
7. Manage credit control and resolve payment queries
8. Update stock levels within the accounts system
9. Work confidently with QuickBooks to ensure smooth financial processes
10. Assist with payroll and timesheet management

About You

We’re looking for someone who’s detail-driven, organised, and confident working in a fast-paced environment. You’ll be comfortable taking initiative and enjoy being part of a team that values collaboration and accuracy.

What You’ll Need

11. At least 2 years’ experience in an accounts role, ideally within an SME
12. Proven experience using QuickBooks or SAGE (minimum 2 years)
13. Strong IT skills and a good working knowledge of various software packages
14. Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability
15. A positive, proactive attitude and great communication skills
