The Localities public health team works with local partners and communities in each of the 8 boroughs and districts to identify and tackle barriers to improved health and wellbeing through a community focused public health approach. The team strives to improve the health and wellbeing of our local populations and to reduce inequalities through place-based and community partnership approaches.
You will be based with the North East Derbyshire locality team, supported by a County-wide team. Key duties will include:-
Support Health & Wellbeing Partnership meetings, including chairing meetings
Grant management including writing and managing service specifications and liaising with providers
Facilitate and lead community sub-groups as needed
Operationalise the delivery of the locality work supporting direction/strategy
Staff management and support to Service Development Officer
Be responsible for managing local monitoring and evaluation, and providing information for reports
Build and maintain relationships with partners and make community links across the locality area
Be the expert of the Locality geographical areas with a depth and breadth of local knowledge
Have a broad knowledge of the cross-county programmes and feed local information into the work
Regular travel in and around North East Derbyshire, with occasional county-wide travel.
