This role would suit an Early Career Teacher (ECT) looking for excellent mentoring and development, as well as experienced teachers seeking a fresh challenge in a forward‑thinking environment.
📐 The Role
You will deliver engaging and effective Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4, with opportunities to teach KS5 depending on experience. You’ll be part of a collaborative department committed to raising attainment and building students’ confidence in numeracy and problem‑solving.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Planning and delivering high‑quality Maths lessons aligned with the national curriculum
2. Creating a positive, inclusive, and well‑managed classroom
3. Supporting learners of all abilities through effective differentiation
4. Assessing and monitoring pupil progress, providing clear feedback
5. Contributing to departmental planning and whole‑school initiatives
6. Inspiring pupils to develop resilience, confidence, and a love for Maths
✅ The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
7. Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised UK equivalent
8. Has a degree in Maths or a related subject
9. Is an ECT or experienced Maths teacher
10. Demonstrates strong subject knowledge and classroom management
11. Has a genuine passion for teaching and helping pupils succeed
ECTs will benefit from structured mentoring, clear progression pathways, and ongoing support.
