Job Description
Our client, a leading international academic publishing company, is currently looking for a Research Integrity Assistant to work closely with their Publishing Ethics & Integrity team across a variety of STM journals.
Key responsibilities:
* Work closely with the team to drive research integrity investigations
* Check articles for integrity of authorship, content, data, and key ethics statements
* Assist the ethics team with contacting authors and assessing files requested from authors
* Assist in identifying experts to provide advice on specific articles as required
* Work with the ethics and editorial teams on organizing post-publication notices
* Handle confidential information confidently and sensitively, considering legal and ethical issues
Qualifications
* Research background in a relevant discipline
* Editorial experience in assessing scientific manuscripts for quality and integrity
* Strong understanding of research methods and practices
* Awareness of global research and publishing ethics issues
* Knowledge of journal editorial standards
* Experience in project management
* Strong numerical and verbal reasoning skills
