Principal Planning Policy Officer
Location: Southeast. Pay: £68 per hour. Duration: 3 months initially. Working Pattern: 37 hours per week (flexible).
This role will support the development and review of the upcoming Reg 19 Local Plan. The successful candidate will lead drafting of site allocation policies for chosen housing and employment sites and assist with reviewing strategic policies and other documents required for the Reg 19 consultation.
Responsibilities
* Draft site allocation policies for chosen housing and employment sites for the Reg 19 Local Plan.
* Review strategic policies for the Local Plan and coordinate necessary documents for the Reg 19 consultation.
* Support other planning duties as required.
Qualifications
* Principal‑level experience as a Town Planner.
* Experience drafting allocation policies.
* Ability to review and interpret strategic planning policies.
Working Arrangement
The role is hybrid; ideally two days in office initially, though one day may be considered.
