Job Title: Year 1 Teaching Assistant - Full-Time Location: Birmingham, B34 Contract Type: Full-Time (Monday to Friday) Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience Start Date: ASAP Monarch Education is currently recruiting for a highly experienced Year 1 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in the B34 area of Birmingham. This full-time role is ideal for someone with a strong background in Key Stage 1 support and excellent phonics knowledge, ready to make an immediate impact in the classroom. Key Responsibilities: Provide dedicated support to pupils in Year 1, assisting with learning activities and classroom routines. Deliver and reinforce phonics sessions using recognised schemes such as Read Write Inc., Letters and Sounds, or similar. Work closely with the class teacher to implement lesson plans and targeted interventions. Support pupils with varying needs to ensure inclusive and effective learning. Foster a positive and engaging learning environment that promotes confidence and independence. Requirements: Level 3 Childcare-related qualification. Significant experience working in Year 1 or KS1 is essential. Strong Little Wandle or read,write inc phonics knowledge and experience delivering phonics interventions Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents/carers.
