Quality Assurance Officer (Adults / Children’s)

We are seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance Officer (Adults / Children’s) to join a reputable organization on a contract basis. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to practice development, service improvement, and safeguarding within both adult and children’s social care.
Responsibilities
* Support the delivery of high‑quality social care services by gathering and analyzing data, facilitating feedback from service users, and driving continuous improvement.
* Conduct audits to identify areas for practice improvement and recognise what is working well.
* Constructively challenge poor practice while supporting practitioners in maintaining high standards.
* Ensure audit findings inform practice development initiatives.
* Arrange and facilitate learning forums based on audit outcomes to promote ongoing professional development.
* Prepare and present detailed reports for senior management and council members, confidently discussing findings and recommendations.
* Build strong working relationships with senior managers in the People Directorate to support practice development.
* Promote safeguarding and welfare of children and vulnerable adults in collaboration with the team.
* Uphold the council’s commitments to equal opportunities, data protection, and GDPR legislation.
* Perform any additional duties related to quality assurance as required, supporting a holistic approach to service improvement.
Requirements
* Experience in social care quality assurance, auditing, or practice review (preferably within children or adult services).
* Strong analytical and report‑writing skills.
* Confident communicator able to present findings effectively.
* Ability to challenge and influence practice constructively.
* Knowledge of safeguarding, data protection, and GDPR legislation.
* Proven ability to build relationships with senior stakeholders and facilitate learning forums.
* Commitment to safeguarding, equality, and continuous improvement in social care.
