Commercial Copy Planner - Peterborough - Attractive package
ALH Recruitment are recruiting for a Commercial Planner for our client who continue to lead their market across the UK, with their HQ based in Peterborough.
Commercial Copy Planner:
Key purposes of the role are:
Accurate allocation of copy to retail outlets using in house planning system (TITAN)
Timely closure of titles to ensure production and distribution schedules are not adversely impacted
Delivery of retail and title level KPI’s (SE and CA) for titles
Providing support to the Copy Managers in the sales forecasting and print planning process
Key Tasks & Responsibilities

* Apply print figures and relevant constraints for Sales Efficiency/Availability/Trade Marketing Activity
* Implementing listing changes in a timely and effective manner
* Run scenarios to achieve optimum sales efficiency and availability in line with publisher title strategy
* Use TITAN to identify sales opportunities
* Review allocation effectiveness and take relevant actions
* Manage title closures in line with production schedules
* Input to TITAN development
* Track print volumes to identify variances between the recommendation and the final number used within TITAN.
Improvement and development
* Apply a continuous improvement ethos to the utilisation of copy
* Ensure sales efficiency targets are met and propose relevant improvement for future issues
* Understand and implement volume planning for Trade Marketing Promotions
* Ensure copy is available to meet agreed sales development opportunities
* Execute regional tests as requested by Circulation and Newstrade Marketing team/Copy Manager
* Managing titles effectively during seasonality/event changes
* Support the delivery of sales development opportunities through wholesale
Key Core Competencies & Skills Required
Knowledge and Experience:
Experience from a media distributor, logistics or an alternative suitable sector, for example FMCG would be preferable.
Exposure to demand planning, inventory management, production planning or supply chain would be beneficial but not essential.
Experience of working in an internal service function would also be beneficial.

Generating performance pack for Copy Manager to use in Newstrade Marketing reviews. Contribute to sales budgets, availability & sales efficiency targets
