We are looking for 5 PQE Family Law Solicitor to join our busy and friendly team at the head office in Thame, Oxfordshire. The role works together with two senior solicitors, a paralegal and a legal secretary in the team to ensure the smooth and effective running in the department. Key Responsibilities Support senior fee earners in the department with incoming instructions and will need to be confident in handling own caseload Advising clients and handle own caseload including direct contact with clients on Family matters such as divorce and dissolution, financial remedy cases, child matters, cohabitation agreements, etc. Correspond with clients appropriately and manage clients’ expectations Handle billing and invoicing of clients and assist in credit control Attend court hearings when necessary Drafting documents and correspondence What We’re Looking For Minimum of 5 years PQE experience Must have a proven track record acting for clients in divorce, financial remedy and private law children cases Must have past experience in handling a caseload of private family matters including:- Divorce and dissolution of civil partnerships Financial remedy Financial provision for children and separation agreements Cohabitation agreements Nuptial Agreements TOLATA Contested Children Act proceedings Able to work under pressure maintaining attention to detail and meet tight deadlines Able to work as part of a team but also independently Attention to detail is essential Fully competent with MS Word and experience in case management system is a plus Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally Must use own initiative regularly and be proactive Why Work For Lightfoots Solicitors?
