Teaching Assistant
Halton
£425 – £475 per week (dependent on experience)
I am working with a secondary school in Halton who are looking for a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join their team.The head of this school is looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant to provide support to a Year 8 student, accompanying said student to each lesson, encouraging them to stay on task and providing academic support as and when needed. On occassion, the successful applicant will be needed to work in the wider school community, upholding the schools ethose and encouraging positive behaviour. Working hours are 8.30am – 3.30pm Monday to Friday and there is no set end date at the moment.
The school have a dedicated network of staff, in which Teachers and Support Staff work together to esnure appropiate academic and emotional support is providing. The students at this school follow a full academic timetable, and move throughout school for varying lessons.
This role is to start immediately and I am looking at speaking with interested candidates as soon as possible.

Person Specification:
* Have experience of supporting pupils with Special Needs either in a School or a similar setting
* Be willing to provide personal care Be confident in working with challenging behaviour
* Have a current DBS on the update service or willing to provide a new one
