Job description
Our client, a leading airline within the aerospace MRO sector, is seeking a Manager Engineering to join their dynamic team at their London Line Maintenance station. This permanent position offers an opportunity to lead a dedicated engineering team within a close-knit environment, ensuring the continuous and safe operation of air services.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide leadership and direction for the maintenance organisation to meet operational and business objectives.
2. Serve as the CAA Nominated Postholder for Part-145, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
3. Oversee the prioritisation and allocation of line maintenance resources in collaboration with Maintrol.
4. Manage the Line Maintenance team, including training, performance management, and engagement.
5. Address compliance and safety occurrence reports by establishing root cause and implementing corrective actions.
6. Drive continuous improvement of departmental processes, communication, and procedures.
7. Ensure the team meets operational performance targets, including Technical Dispatch Reliability (TDR) and ADD levels.
8. Develop and manage departmental budgets to ensure cost-effective service provision.
9. Maintain adequate resource levels to meet high operational standards.
10. Uphold strong relationships with London City Airport regarding engineering matters.
11. Support ad hoc projects and wider Engineering initiatives as required.

Experience:
24. Licensed Aircraft Engineer or equivalent technical/operational qualification; must meet CAA Nominated Postholder requirements for Part-145.
25. Operational management experience including people management.
26. Working knowledge of engineering processes, procedures, and Part 145 and Part M/CAMO requirements.
