Senior Care Assistant - Days
Salary: £16.15ph from 1st Jan 26 - plus incentives
Hours: Full Time – 7am‑7pm (3 shifts a week, 4 shifts the next week including alternate weekends)

About Oxendon House
Oxendon House is a private care home located in the village of Great Oxendon, 3 miles south of Market Harborough. Set around a country house, the home offers a homely environment with modern living accommodation for 43 residents, providing both personal and dementia care.

Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities
* Provide the highest level of care, supporting residents in all daily living activities.
* Promote residents’ independence, choice, dignity and respect and support their physical and emotional wellbeing.
* Lead your shift, ensuring high standards are maintained and that the team feels supported.
* Complete daily medication rounds accurately and maintain high‑standard documentation for all team members on your shifts.
* Encourage good practice, challenge poor practice, conduct regular one‑to‑one reviews for the care team, investigate complaints and concerns as directed by the Home Manager.
Essential Requirements
* Relevant professional qualification (e.g., Registered Nurse or NVQ level ≥ 3).
* Minimum of two years’ experience as a Senior Care Assistant in a residential or nursing‑home setting.
* Experience in person‑centred care planning.
* Knowledge of abuse prevention, recognition of signs of abuse and procedures for handling allegations.
* Experience in managing a team.
* Live within 30 minutes of Oxendon House.
Preferred Requirements
* Two years’ experience in a similar nursing‑home role.
* One year of experience caring for residents living with dementia.
* NVQ Level 4 in Adult Health and Social Care or above.
* Knowledge of the National Care Standards Act 2000.
* Experience conducting effective person‑centred one‑to‑ones.
