Base pay range
$16.00/hr - $18.00/hr
Responsibilities
Customer Experience
* Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
* Model and share customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including interpersonal habits (e.g., greeting, eye contact, courtesy) and Walgreens service traits (e.g., offering help proactively, identifying needs, servicing until satisfied).
Operations
* Provide courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service.
* Recommend items for sale and suggest trade-up and/or companion items.
* Register customer purchases, handle cash and change as requested; process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as needed.
* Keep counters and shelves clean and well merchandised; take inventory and maintain records. Check in and price merchandise as directed by store leadership.
* Implement asset protection procedures to minimize loss.
* Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products (e.g., alcoholic beverages and tobacco).
* Construct and maintain displays, complete resets, and revisions as directed.
* Assist with product placement and stock rotation, following policies (e.g., raw vs. ready-to-eat foods) and using first-in, first-out method as applicable.
* Maintain working knowledge of store systems and equipment.
* Provide customer service in the photo area (digital passport photo service, poster print and creative machines) and upsell promotional photo products.
* Assist with web pick-up responsibilities (monitor orders, pick items, and deliver orders to customers as they arrive).
* Maintain exterior and interior store condition and appearance.
* Comply with all company policies and procedures; maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
* Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
Training & Personal Development
* Attend training and complete required PPLs as requested by Manager or corporate.
Basic Qualifications
* Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
* Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.
Preferred Qualifications
* Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
* Prefer prior work experience with Walgreens.
