Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursery Nurse to join our early childhood education team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children, supporting their developmental needs through engaging activities and personalised care. Responsibilities
* Supervise and care for children in accordance with nursery policies and procedures
* Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development
* Ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times
* Maintain accurate records of children's progress, behaviour, and daily routines
* Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's development and daily activities
* Support children's individual needs through personalised care plans
* Assist in organising nursery routines, including meal times, naps, and play sessions
* Lead by example in demonstrating good behaviour, management skills, and leadership within the team
* Contribute to maintaining a clean, organised, and welcoming nursery environment
* Support colleagues in their roles to ensure smooth daily operations
* Flexibility with working hours nursery opening hours fall between Mon-Fri
Experience
* Proven experience working with children in a nursery or early childhood education setting
* Knowledge of childcare practices, early childhood development, and health & safety regulations
* Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to liaise confidently with parents and colleagues
* Childcare qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent. Ideally level 3 but level 2 would be considered for the right person
* Experience with child behaviour understanding techniques is advantageous
* Valid driving licence is preferred
