This position requires a strong track record in optical communications, optical sensing or neuromorphic computing using photonics.

The Aston Institute of Photonic Technologies (AiPT) is one of the largest photonics research centres in the UK, pursuing a diverse range of topics at the leading edge including high‑speed optical transmission, optical sensing, signal processing, ultra‑wide‑band amplification, nonlinear photonics, fibre gratings, fibre lasers, bio‑ and medical photonics, and optical sensing. AiPT is now seeking an outstanding researcher to join AiPT to lead in optical communication or optical sensing areas.
