Quality Administrator role
To support the Quality Engineer in implementing and maintaining quality assurance and quality control processes in compliance with the NEC4 contract, project specifications, and
relevant industry standards. The Quality Administrator ensures that documentation, reporting, compliance records, and lifetime quality records are efficiently managed to support
the delivery of a high-quality construction project.
Responsibilities include:
* Managing quality-related documents and records
* Ensuring all documentation is stored, updated, andmaintained in accordance with the IMP
* Tracking and maintaining Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and Corrective Action Reports (CARs).
* Accurate and timely document management and record-keeping. § Compliance with NEC4 contract quality requirements.
* Supporting the Quality Engineer in ensuring quality processes are followed.
* Maintain and update the project's quality documentation system.
* Liaise with project teams to collect and verify quality-related documentation.
* Raise quality documentation issues with relevant stakeholders.
* Assisting in the preparation and submission of quality reports
* Supporting internal audits
* Maintaining records of audit findings and corrective actions.
* Collate of evidence for assurance audits.
* Ensuring lifetime records are properly archived and retrievable for audit and future reference.
* Assisting in the coordination of inspection and testing activities as per the ITPs. § Recording test results and ensuring traceability of materials and workmanship.
* Ensuring calibration records and certificates for testing equipment are maintained and up to date.
* Ensuring all quality documentation aligns with NEC4 contract deliverables and key dates.
* Assisting in capturing and recording lessons learned from quality-related issues.
* Supporting initiatives to improve quality performance on the project.
* Assisting in the preparation of quality-related training materials and awareness sessions.
Your Profile
Essential Skills and Experience:
* Experience in Quality Administration or Document Control in a construction, engineering, or infrastructure environment.
* Understanding of NEC4 Contracts, particularly quality and document control requirements.
* Experience managing and maintaining quality records, including lifetime records and audit trails.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
* Attention to detail, ensuring accurate record-keeping and compliance.
* Good communication skills, able to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
* Competency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
* Basic knowledge of quality standards such as ISO 9001 or construction quality procedures.
Desirable Skills and Experience:
* Experience working in a regulated industry (e.g., nuclear, rail, highways, water).
* ·Knowledge of inspection and test plans (ITPs) and their implementation.
* Awareness of non-conformance reporting (NCRs) and corrective action processes.
* Familiarity with as-built records and handover documentation.
* Experience supporting internal or external audits.
* Training or certification in Quality Management Systems (QMS) or ISO 9001.
* Understanding of Construction Design and Management (CDM) regulations.
