About The Role

This role sits within BT’s Counter‑Drone team and is responsible for managing the end‑to‑end physical, logistical, and supply‑chain lifecycle of customer‑facing equipment. The Engineering Supply Chain Professional ensures equipment is received from suppliers, staged, configured, updated, tested, supported in‑life, returned, repaired through suppliers, and redeployed, while coordinating all associated import, export, and logistics activities. By maintaining equipment readiness, feedback loops from in‑life use, and controlled re‑deployment, the role directly supports innovation by enabling rapid trial‑to‑operation transitions, reducing friction in scaling new capabilities, and ensuring emerging Counter‑Drone technologies can be introduced, iterated, and sustained reliably. The role acts as the single point of control for equipment custody, spares holdings, RMAs, and international movements, ensuring customer systems remain operational and compliant with regulatory and contractual requirements.

What You’ll Be Doing

* Own the end‑to‑end physical, logistical, and supply‑chain lifecycle of customer‑facing Counter‑Drone equipment
* Receive equipment from approved suppliers and verify quantities, serial numbers, and condition
* Maintain full asset tracking, chain of custody, and equipment status records
* Stage customer‑allocated equipment and manage clear separation between live, spare, and faulted assets
* Configure equipment to approved customer baselines
* Apply authorised firmware and software updates and record configuration states
* Perform functional checks and validation prior to deployment or return to service
* Support in‑life customer equipment through controlled handling and readiness assurance
* Receive and manage returned equipment from customer sites and field teams
* Perform first‑line diagnostics to validate and categorise reported faults
* Raise and manage RMAs with suppliers, including packaging and back‑loading equipment for repair
* Receive repaired or replacement equipment from suppliers and re‑validate functionality
* Manage spares holdings and coordinate customer back‑fill to minimise operational downtime
* Re‑stage, reset, and prepare equipment for redeployment following repair or update
* Coordinate delivery and collection of equipment to and from customer sites
* Manage import and export of equipment and spares in line with customs and export‑control requirements
* Prepare and validate shipping documentation for domestic and international movements
* Act as the primary supply‑chain interface between suppliers, engineering teams, logistics partners, and customers
* Provide controlled feedback from in‑life equipment use to support continuous improvement and the introduction of new or evolving Counter‑Drone capabilities

Essential Skills / Experience

* Experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or equipment lifecycle management
* Exposure to import/export processes or regulated goods movement
* Ability to manage RMAs, repairs, and supplier interactions
* Confidence performing basic technical diagnostics and equipment testing
* Strong asset tracking, documentation, and organisational skills
* Full UK driving licence

Desirable Skills / Experience

* Comfortable working in secure or regulated environments; experience managing customer‑owned or customer‑allocated equipment
* Knowledge of export control or customs procedures
* Experience managing international shipments
* Ability to obtain government Security Clearance
* Experience operating drones
* Exposure to RF, security, surveillance, or sensor systems
* Experience working with defence, government, or critical infrastructure customers
* Familiarity with asset, maintenance, or ERP systems
