They specialize in advanced ophthalmic surgeries, including laser eye surgery, cataract surgery, presbyopia correction, corneal transplants, glaucoma surgery, retinal therapy, and cosmetic/lid treatments. The Fantastic Ophthalmic Clinic is synonymous with leading-edge sub-specialist eye care and innovation.\n\nOphthalmology Theatre Nurse Key Responsibilities\nDeliver safe and excellent clinical practice by adhering to NMC codes and relevant professional standards.\nAssist theatre lead and surgeons during a variety of procedures including cataract, RLE, glaucoma, and minor operations.\nProvide pre-assessment, admissions, and discharge support for theatre patients.\nMaintain accurate and complete theatre notes and medical records on the EPR system.\nManage theatre stock, consumables, and intraocular lenses.\nCoordinate with external companies to ensure timely sterilization and delivery of instruments.\nParticipate in audits, risk assessments, and continuous professional development within ophthalmology.\nObserve strict patient and clinic confidentiality.\nOphthalmology Theatre Nurse Essential Skills & Qualifications\nQualifications: RGN registration; ILS and ALS desirable (or willingness to undertake).\nExperience: Ophthalmology theatre experience is essential.\nSkills:\nExcellent communication and time management skills.\nStrong organizational and multi-tasking abilities.\nIT proficiency and effective documentation skills.\nAbility to work both independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.\nProfessional demeanor with exceptional customer care skills.\nAdditional Information\nSchedule: 10-hour shifts.\nTravel: Willingness to travel (up to 25%).\nLicence/Certification: NMC registration (required).\nBenefits\nCompany events\nCompany pension\nHealth & wellbeing programme\nRecommendations:\n\nHeath Recruit Network have a fantastic Recommendation scheme that we offer to all candidates.
