Job Description Adler & Allan is continuing its ambitious growth journey, and were looking for an exceptional Senior Bid Manager to play a pivotal role in securing high-value, strategically important contracts. This is a key leadership position within our bid function-driving bid strategy, shaping compelling proposals, and elevating the quality and competitiveness of our submissions. About the role As Senior Bid Manager, you will lead the full lifecycle of complex, multi-stakeholder bids, ensuring every submission is customer-focused, compliant, and commercially robust. Youll work closely with teams across the business-sales, operations, commercial, and technical-to develop winning solutions and deliver high-quality tender responses. Youll act as the strategic lead for major opportunities, influencing stakeholders, challenging assumptions, and ensuring our proposals clearly articulate the value of Adler & Allans capabilities. You will also support the ongoing development of the bid function, helping to improve processes, adopt new technologies, and increase overall win rates. Key responsibilities Lead end-to-end management of major bids, from qualification to submission and post-tender clarification Develop winning bid strategies, value propositions, and customer-aligned themes Facilitate kick-off, solution development, and review sessions across internal teams Influence and challenge stakeholders to ensure competitive, customer-centric solutions Review and refine bid content to ensure clarity, quality, and consistency Collaborate with Account Managers, SMEs, commercial teams, and operational leaders Support continuous improvement and adoption of new bid technologies, including RFP automation Produce compliant, differentiated proposals that leverage Group capabilities Manage risk registers, action logs, and compliance checks throughout the tender process Qualifications Proven experience managing large, complex bids (£1M-£30M) Strong background in structured bid processes within a competitive environment Experience as a Bid Manager or Senior Bid Manager Ability to work across multiple stakeholders and disciplines Strong commercial awareness and excellent written communication skills Experience in related services or technical sectors is advantageous Sound knowledge of environmental services & consultancy Additional Information Adler and Allan are committed to fostering diversity and inclusion in our workplace.
