Overview
The Dermatology Department is looking for a proactive, hands-on nurse to join the team. The post holder will carry out nursing interventions and treatments within the Dermatology Department, including complex wound care, phototherapy, Nurse Led Minor operations, and supporting administrative duties in the absence of the Department Sister or Medical Outpatient Ward Leader. The post holder must have demonstrable Dermatology experience and an interest in wound care and treatment options.
Responsibilities
* Provide specialist Dermatology advice and support to patients, relatives, carers, and other health care professionals.
* Deliver high-quality, patient-focused care to Dermatology patients and their families.
* Carry out nursing duties in accordance with the NMC Code of Professional Conduct and ensure compliance with Professional Standards and Trust Policies.
* Contribute to the delivery of outstanding patient care by providing clinical expertise, maintaining a clean and safe environment, involving patients in decisions about their care, and using patient/carer feedback to implement improvements.

Qualifications and Training
* Registered Nurse with minimum 3 years experience
* NMC professional registration
* Demonstrable experience at staff nurse level within Dermatology
* Advanced wound management course
Desirable:
* Skin Surgery Course
* Sharp Debridement Course
* Phototherapy experience
Experience
* Essential: Experience of working as part of a multi-disciplinary team; understanding of nursing processes (assessment, care planning, implementation and evaluation); wound management and dressing selection
* Desirable: Coordinating and leading Nurse Led clinics; experience in teaching/learning to other professionals
Skills and Knowledge
* Commitment to professional development; effective communication; organized and able to prioritise workload; flexible to service needs
