The Royal Surrey County Hospital Emergency Department sees approximately 75000 patients every year. To support and enhance the care we provide to patients. We are looking to recruit a dynamic and enthusiastic band 7 ENP/ECP/EPP to join our dynamic Emergency Department Team. We have introduced dynamic patient pathways to improve patient flow and experience that has resulted in the vast improvement of the department’s performance. We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic Emergency Care Practitioners (ENP / EPP) to work within the Emergency Department at The Royal Surrey NHS Trust. Candidates should be clinical experts who work as autonomous practitioners providing patient-centered clinical care, encompassing the skills of assessment, examination, diagnosis, treatment and/or referral and discharge to patients with minor injuries and illnesses. You will work within locally agreed protocols and Patient Group Directives. Independent Nurse Prescribing would be desirable but not essential. Successful candidates should have a minimum of 2 years working in an autonomous role in the emergency environment and be an effective communicator with a positive attitude. Autonomously to assess, investigate, diagnose, treat and refer or discharge patients attending the Emergency Department, within the parameters of the Emergency Nurse/Care Practitioner (ENP/ECP) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) scope of practice. The post holder will be providing assessment, treatment, care and education to patients from all sections of the community, from infants to the elderly ensuring a high quality patient centered care.
