What your day will look like:
As the resident Optometrist, you will work closely with an experienced dispensing and support team to provide comprehensive and tailored patient care.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
* Conducting comprehensive eye examinations
* Providing contact lens appointments and aftercare
* Advising patients on eye health and preventative care
* Delivering a patient-first clinical experience
* Working collaboratively with Dispensing Opticians and support teams
* Recommending appropriate optical solutions focused on patient benefit
* Maintaining accurate and detailed patient records
* Supporting practice growth through excellent patient relationships
* Participating in clinical governance and quality assurance processes
This is a role where you will have the time to build rapport with patients and genuinely make a difference within the local community.
Equipment and Technology
The practice is well-equipped with modern diagnostic technology to support high clinical standards and enhanced patient care.
Equipment includes:
* OCT
* Fundus camera
* Tonometry
* Visual field testing equipment
* Advanced contact lens assessment tools
* Modern testing and dispensing environments
Additional accreditations such as GRR or Post Cataract experience would be advantageous, although not essential.
Hours and flexibility
* Full-time permanent position
* Based on 38.875 hours per week
* Open to negotiation on hours and rota
* No Sunday working
* No Bank Holiday working
* Includes 1 Saturday off per month
Typical opening hours are expected to fall within:
* Monday - Friday: 9:00am - 5:30pm
* Saturday: 9:00am - 5:00pm
